Why it matters
In 2020, an estimated 13.4 million babies were born preterm worldwide, representing approximately 9.9% of all births. In the UK, the rate of premature births has risen to about 8% in recent years.
We believe that philanthropy plays a crucial role in supporting both mothers and babies, ensuring the best possible chances for survival and healthy outcomes in neonatal care.
Additionally, philanthropic efforts are vital in funding cutting-edge research that can drive practical improvements in neonatal care, ultimately enhancing the lives of the most vulnerable infants and their families.
